My journey with skincare began at a young age, finding myself in a constant battle with persistent acne. Frustrated and with nowhere to turn after numerous consultations with dermatologists and countless products that yielded no results, my mother introduced me to the realm of Ayurveda. Skeptical yet hopeful, I began using various homemade Ayurvedic formulations, incorporating holistic ingredients such as neem and besan. To my surprise and relief, these natural remedies worked wonders, transforming my skin and alleviating my acne.

 

This sparked my profound interest in Ayurveda. I became fascinated by its holistic approach and ancient wisdom. My passion for biology and chemistry, coupled with my aspiration to pursue a career in bioinformatics, drove me to delve deeper into the scientific aspects of Ayurvedic practices. I began exploring the molecular and biochemical foundations of Ayurvedic ingredients, eager to understand their therapeutic properties.

 

Determined to make these effective Ayurvedic solutions more accessible to individuals who were facing similar problems to mines, my co-founder and I decided to establish Sundara. I conducted extensive laboratory experiments, such as testing the antimicrobial properties of common Ayurvedic ingredients, such as neem, against different strains of bacteria. This scientific approach ensured that our formulations were not only effective but also safe for a wide range of skin types.

 

Backed by robust scientific knowledge, our formulations effectively address various skin issues while promoting the restoration of the skin barrier. Furthermore, at Sundara, we strive to make an impact on our local community. By providing aid to underprivileged women by providing them with microloans and financial advice from industry leaders, we aim to empower and encourage individuals by mitigating the gap between Ayurvedic wisdom and modern scientific rigor, providing accessible and effective solutions for all while supporting small businesses of underprivileged women.
